Hello ladies! We were looking at some of the spring/summer designs for the year and found them really interesting. Lots of new things have made their debut on the runways this year, and if you’re smart you will take a leaf out of their books to give that much needed dash to your style. It’s summer so no one’s surprised that the fashion-conscious are going nuts over pastels. Honeysuckle (a smooth mix of pink and red) is this season’s fair-child. Light yellows, oranges, greens and blues sail in to cool your senses. But the biggest add-ons this summer are the shoes. We’ve put together this season’s biggest runway hits. Take a look!
The Art of Walking Tall: The must-have this season are clogs. What are clogs?
Adding several inches to your height, clogs are comfortable, unusual and wooden-heeled. If you’re not afraid to experiment, clogs are the perfect buy. Pair ‘em up with a flowy sheer dress-top and you’re good to go. Trust me, you’ll feel like a super-model in these. Oh, and don’t forget to compliment these with a pair of cat-sunglasses.
Bringing Back the Sixties: If you’re looking to go elegant, nothing beats the lady-like “kitty heels” of yore. Yes, this Audrey Hepburn style makes a comeback this season in classic black and other eclectic colours. A cross between high-heels and flats, these are perfect for the work-place or a casual party. Wear kitty heels with a knee length chiffon dress (black does it for most) for a classy, vintage look.

Feelin’ like One of the Boys: If girly just isn’t your style, take a load of this season’s fabulous shorts and jumpsuits. Re-invent yourself in biker shorts, striped shirts, jumpsuits and playsuits! High-waist skirts that just brush you mid-thigh are all the rage. Pair them up with simple clean-cut blouses in pastel colours (white really works) and get ready to rock. If you want to pump it up, add a bit of chunky jewellery, maybe even some shimmer and shine and a few piercing. This look especially works for the skinny girls out there, but fret not. If you’re slightly heavier you can play it cool in the super-sporty jumpsuits.
Woodstock Wonder: No one can get over Woodstock, the biggest musical festival there ever was. Skinny jeans have had their spot in the limelight, it’s time to go boho in bell bottoms and flare pants. You heard right, the size zero craze is dying down to make way for more liberal dressing: flowy tops in floral prints, sheer tops and high-waist pants are back in An all new avatar. Touch up these 70s inventions with your own accessories and go boho-chic!
Don’t forget to complete your look with some quick makeup. We suggest you go nude if you’re wearing bright clothing. Then again, if you want to really turn heads go pop with bright lip-shades including coral red, blue, orange or yellow while going easy on the eyes. So ladies, take your pick, mix it up and make some noise!
